Tess is a lithe, long-legged, long-furred gray-brown tabby she-cat with white paws, a white chest, a white muzzle, wide-set, tufted ears, a pink nose, and sharp hazel eyes. She is a participant in the tests. She is roleplayed by Cheetahspark.
History[]
Tess and her family lived in the forest alone, and she was very competitive as a kit with her two brothers, Hobbs and Kobi, and her mother and father raised her to believe that she was the best.
One day, when she was still a kit, her father left and never came back. Still, this made her even more determined to be the strongest she could be, and she became shut off emotionally. Even though her mother told her that her father wasn’t coming back, she was still determined to believe that he would, and that she would make him proud of her.
When she and her brothers were about apprentice-aged, her mother was killed by green-cough. They practically raised themselves from there, and they found it hard to get enough food to eat.
One day, Hobbs discovered that a group of rogues was living in the ruins of an old city, and he thought that they could be safe if they joined the rogues. Kobi was unsure about living with strange cats, but Tess argued that it was the best option. They joined the rogues, but the group was cruel, and enjoyed fighting each other for fun. Tess began to act like the rogues, and trained so often that she was feared among them.
She and her brothers lived there for a few moons before Hobbs got into a fight with one of the cats from the group. Tess stayed back and watched with the other rogues as her brother fought, and lost, against the other cat. He died from his wounds soon after. Tess had became so cold-hearted from living with the rogues that she had barely felt the loss. Kobi did, however, and ran away from the group in disgust. Tess was angry with her brother for this, and called him a coward. She tracked him down and killed him.
She had heard about the Tests, and tried everything she could to get in. She became the strongest and fastest of the group, but Harnor didn’t come. One day, in a blind rage, she injured one of the cats in the group and ran into the forest. She sat staring into a pool of water until she sensed a cat behind her. She whipped around to see Harnor. She retorted that it had taken him long enough, but Harnor growled at her and told her that she had hardly earned the right to be in the Tests. Tess asked why, considering how much she had been training. Harnor replied that it was her heart that needed working on. She told him that she didn’t care about that. Harnor said that he knew, and said that he thought the Tests would do her some good in that area. She had no idea what he meant, but he took her into the Tests right after.
During The Tests[]
She's been prickly to most everyone, only caring about winning. Eventually she made some friends that she cared for, like Ollie and Palm, but she still didn't really let herself get close to any other cat. She doesn't think that she deserves it, after all of the horrible things that she's done. She started to hate Harnor, and realizing how evil the Tests really are, but she still wants to win.
Given the option to touch the magical stone that could give her more power, she didn't need to think twice before going to touch it. However, Ollie stopped her by pushing her out of the way, accidentally touching it himself. Afterwords, Tess didn't touch the stone under the excuse that she wanted to "see how it affected the other cats, so she wouldn't get poisoned or anything". However, she really chose not to touch it because of Ollie's strong feelings against it, and how strangely he acted afterwords.
After everyone got crazy during Test 6 when Harnor made them all super angry, Tess, strangely, wasn't affected. A ghost of Kobi appeared to her, telling Tess that it was because she was already too damaged, and Harnor couldn't do anything that hadn't already been done. But she came to the conclusion that she actually cared about her friends, and she needed to save them.
She had a short fight with Ivy before Palm began attacking her, to her dismay and horror.

Tess barely talks to others, so this is a short list.
Ollie- Tess mostly thinks of Ollie as annoying and too cheerful, and normally tries to get rid of him. But the tom always seems intent on becoming friends with her. They eventually did, and he kinda grew on Tess.
Palm- Palm made the mistake of trying to talk to Tess and ended up getting an earful of taunts. Still, he kept up a conversation with her. Tess nicknamed him as "Sparky" for his lighting powers. They hang out from time to time.
Yedda- Yedda started singing to Palm, Tess, and Ollie, calling them "couples". They tried to get rid of her, but their plan ultimately backfired and now the wrath of Yedda is upon them.
Everyone else- Either hates them for no reason or couldn't care less.
